Hotel du Vin in Harrogate invests £800,000

The Hotel du Vin in Harrogate has invested £800,000 into transforming office space and staff living quarters into five new bedrooms and a spa with completion due in August.

The new bedrooms offer 1 standard room, 3 big double rooms and a fantastic suite with roll top bath in front of huge bay windows, a walk-in shower with monsoon shower head and a separate living area.

The spa will consist of five treatment rooms which use ESPA products including a dual treatment room, two Jessica nail bars, a relaxation area, steam room and monsoon shower. With no membership policy, it will be open to residents of the hotel, local residents and visitors into the area. The spa will be working with spaseekers to grow their client base and by August spa packages will be available to book. With a large proportion of the Hotel du Vin guests wishing to stay on leisure the spa will further enhance the product and offer an added incentive to choose the hotel.

General Manager Nick Lawson feels that these developments will be a real boost to the hotel ‘The new development furthers our commitment to the area and Harrogate as a leisure destination. Now more than ever it is essential that we continue to build upon the success of the hotel and look at new added values which will be well received by regular guests and also attract a new clientele.’

The spa will create six new positions from Spa Manager to beauty therapist, all of which the hotel hopes to fill from within the region.

The bedrooms will be ready within the coming months with the completion date for the spa being Monday the 11th of August.
