I made my booking via the phone, the person I spoke to was very helpful. I told her I would like to book a spa day as a present for my husband. I received my gift voucher pack 3 days later. A big thanks. I would use SpaSeekers again, brilliant!Mrs. Martina Biesenbach.
I was really looking forward to a return visit to Hoarcross Hall for a pamper day but was left feeling disappointed. On arrival the complimentary fruit juice was welcome following a journey in the rush hour but I was most disappointed to find that the complimentary tea and coffee had been withdrawn. We had treatments scheduled for late afternoon and really needed a drink before commuting home. We went into the main hall to find the service was closed.I have enjoyed excellent facials in the past but this time there was no communication relating to skin type or products used whereas my friend who had booked the same treatment had an intensive assessment and was delighted with the treatment. Perhaps it depends on the Therapist on the day!I appreciate the need to make efficiency savings but felt the removal of the courtesy drinks was a step in the wrong direction.Lunch was very nice however our waitress determined which type of bread roll we received and did not make it clear we should help ourselves to the buffet prior to our starters arriving. She appeared to be a trainee.
I have been a regular visitor to the eden day spa over the last few years and had always rated it very highly, however since eden has merged with hoar cross I feel they have lost the magic tranquility it had. The main treatment waiting lounge was cold and draughty with little reading material to keep me occupied whilst waiting. The staff seemed rushed and I had the 'conveyor belt' feeling and treatment slots were late. Little touches have been lost such as complementary juices on arrival. I feel I shall be looking elsewhere for my annual treat next year. Disappointing.
When we got there we booked a facial for 5.15pm. Unfortunately, the staff 'forgot' about me. I had to go up to the desk at 5.45 and ask what had happened. By that time it was too late for my treatment as we had to check out at 6.
As a carer of my husband who suffered a severe stroke. I needed a break, so after trawling the internet I came across Hoar Cross Hall which honestly sounded too good to be true but I went ahead and booked an overnight stay with my daughter. It was the best decision I have ever made in my life. Everything from walking in the door to unfortunately leaving again was superb. The staff obviously enjoy working there especially the lady(Unfortunately I don't recall her name) who took us on our tour. She took the time to point out all the beautiful features of the splendid building, of which she could tell we loved, down to the beautiful collections of tea-sets to the Knight in shining armour who guards the staircase. Our room was the most beautiful room that I have ever seen, with a view only a true artist could capture. Every minute was special and I feel refreshed, spoilt and worthy. Thanks
