Average time at Staley. Spa fab but other facilities and service mediocre. All function rooms and bars beautiful but overpriced. The suite we stayed in was dated and the only thing you could say about it was it was large.
This is not the first time i have visited this spa and as always, i will go back. The hotel is set in beautiful, well kept grounds, there is a lovely quiet bar and a fantastic restaurant, very helpful and friendly staff at every port of call. The rooms are lovely and clean and the spa is also beautiful, clean and the staff are very helpful. You are made to feel very welcome at all times and like you are the only guests there! My only complaint would be four of us booked for a 30 min massage an i don’t think we even got 20 min which was a bit of a disappointment, but it did not spoil the weekend.
Treatment room 2 could be better soundproofed as voices were heard outside plus a vacuum cleaner above. This did not affect the treatment which was very good but detracted from the relaxation expected. Another treatment room was a little chilly. The relaxation room was fabulous, the staff friendly and helpful. The temperature in the pool area was uncomfortably hot but maybe this is unavoidable? Would return as overall relaxing. Spaseekers booking staff were knowledgeable and efficient.
I bought a one night winter warmer spa break as a Christmas present for my boyfriend ! When we got to Slaley hall all the staff were very helpful and told us where everything was. Our room was basic but very clean. The spa itself was lovely with steam room, sauna and got tub! We both had an aromatherapy massage which was amazing as it was my first ever massage! I didn't want to move after, I was so relaxed. The grounds are beautiful too and I would recommend to anyone. Thank you for an amazing break.
stayed here on a "break away with me "Initial cost was supposed to be 169.00 which ended up being 229.00 .The junior suite was dated unlike modern suites that are advertised on the photos, room wasn't ready at 5.30 even though check in is 3 pm no robes for the spa in our room.beautiful spa friendly staff treatment shorter than 30 mins.Dukes grill! Ltd choices on the menu. steak was under cooked(£45 no sides)came back till nearly half an hour after we complained and finished eating.
