Fabulous place, staff really friendly, professional, amazing time as I went with my partner. We both enjoyed it, even better than we expected. Thank you.
I choose this package because of the treatments offered. My husband and I were not dissapointed. Having been on a few spa breaks before in different places, we had not been able to try the salt scrub/oil hot stone massage. This was one of treatments available at Oulton Hall. On arrival we were greeted courteously and shown to the lounge area where we were given coffee and robes. The lounge was small compared to other places we had been to. We were shown round the facilities. The photos on the website were accurate. My only criticism was the water fountain was very definitely out of order and needed cleaning . There was a sign saying do not use but there was no other drinking water available, which in a spa is essential. Also there was limited seating available around the pool area. The lunch provided was really well presented and good value. The treatments were excellent 10/10 . Overall we would go back for the treatments but not for the facilities.
I booked the Spa day via SpaSeekers Website. It was easy to choose a spa package that suited myself and my friend.
Our mini pamper day also included a light lunch which was lovely.
The treatments I had were generally good. My favourite treatment was the neck back and shoulder massage. The facial was also good. My least favourite treatment was the pedicure. I am aware it was just a file and polish but I do think it lacked any real spa experience. In fact I think it lasted less than 30min more around 15min. My nail polish did come off my toes. Although the lady explained that it would take up to an hour to dry properly I did not want this to restrict the rest of my spa experience. Ideally it would have been better if I had my pedicure before my facial so my nail polish could dry.
The lady I had for my treatments was professional and i was certainly impressed with my massage.
The Spa facilities were excellent and very clean.
Stayed with my daughter for 1 night dinner, bed and breakfast including use of the spa and a 90 minute ESPA heroes massage. booking via Spaseekers was easily done via the internet with confirmation the next day of treatment times and dinner reservation. The hotel is set in lovely grounds and is very pleasant. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Pool was a decent size but was quite busy after 4.00. Quite a small area to sit around but nice area outside and after our treatments we discovered a very pleasant relaxation room. Only fault with spa was that on arrival we weren't given a guided tour. My treatment with Hollie was excellent . We drank cocktails outside - they were expensive but good for a treat. Dinner was expensive as bread, veg etc all came as extras but quality of food was excellent. Breakfast was excellent too. everything one could think of. Would recommend the whole experience.
Hotel very nice bedroom was small with double bed and in need of bath robes and more light very dark.
Champagne bar very nice not cheap ,
Had evening meal in the grill restaurant staff not very happy need to smile a little :))
And the food was terrible I had ham hock for a starter no taste ,
Followed by cod in ham wrap very poor
My partner had a T-bone steak he said small and nothing to it taste wise ,
The morning after we had swim and steam room followed by a massage ,
This was 10/10 apart from my partners locker being tampered with and the locker next to his being ripped open ?
Will I return ? NO
