Our beautiful, restored country house, set in 20 acres of woodland grounds, with contemporary spa facilities provides the perfect haven for your indulgent residential or day spa. The spa is warm and relaxing and boasts a 20m swimming pool, spa bath, sauna, and steam room. You can add additional treatments from the extensive treatment menu using only the best products from Germaine de Cappuccini, ESPA, Gelish, and OPI. All meals are served in our award winning restaurant and are an indulgent treat. We regret that use of the gym is not permitted on a spa day. Our day spa packages do not include fitness classes or use of the gym, however, our 20-metre swimming pool is great for a few lengths and then relax in the adjacent spa bath. A stroll or jog round our beautiful parkland grounds will invigorate you or simply sit and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the gardens. Clarice House has a limited number of individual bedrooms, each with its own name, style and character. As you would expect all bedrooms are en-suite, have tea & coffee making facilities, colour televisions with satellite, hair dryers and telephones. Don't think you will be restricted to lettuce leaves, carrot juice and salad when you visit Clarice House, you're on a spa day after all! Our award winning restaurant uses only the best ingredients, locally sourced where possible, to create indulgent dishes and if you fancy a glass or two of wine with your meal, that's fine too! So sit back, relax and enjoy great food, with your great friends on your great day!Q. What should my expectations be if I book with your venue?
A. You can expect a great day at incredible value for money.
Q. What's your philosophy on 'Wellness' and what do you do to encourage this?
A. Most of our guests visit with friends and simply enjoy a great day out together. However, if you want a day with the emphasis on 'Wellness' we can tailor a day for you, with complementary therapies through a detox lunch.
Q. Do you have a 'Signature Treatment'?
A. Yes, a luxurious Germaine de Capuccini Mediterranean Delight; A Mediterranean Light Candle is burned, emitting a wonderful fragrance of soothing lavender and mandarin. The warm wax from the candle is then poured over the body with a prolonged massage to ease tension and relax the mind.
Q. Have you won any awards?
A. We do not enter awards; our high level of repeat customers speaks volumes. However, we have won an AA Rosette award for our cuisine.
Q. Describe the interiors of your bedrooms or treatment rooms and how they were inspired?
A. We have a small number of individually styled rooms at Bury St Edmunds. Each has its own character in keeping with the period nature of the Neo-Jacobean mansion.
Q. Explain what 'mod-cons' you provide in the hotel and spa?
A. The spa facilities are state of the art. The whole spa is a mobile and Wi-Fi free zone to ensure total relaxation.
Q. How would you cater for different dietary requirements?
A. Yes, all special dietary requirements can be catered for with advance notice.
Q. Have you had any celebrities visit?
A. Oh yes, but unlike some other establishments we are discreet enough not to say who!

great time! A lovely time in beautiful surroundings, very friendly staff and an exceptionally nice meal. Only criticisms and very small- some confusions over where to collect our towels, slightly cold for wandering about in wet costumes (but that is as much due to the size of the building), the very uncomfortable sun beds round the pool were all reserved with no one using them. We had a fantastic time and were very sad to leave at the end of the day. |

Truly pampered relaxing esperiencee This was just what I needed after a hectic Christmas, sheer indulgence. The staff were very pleasant, efficient and courteous and respected privacy and dignity at all times and made the experience comfortable. The food was wonderful making the whole package very good value for money too, for a day of sheer indulgence. Just couldn\'t wait to get home to bed to sleep as I was so relaxed. Luckily I had my chauffeur to drive me home! |

Birthday treat I booked a deluxe spa day quite late for my birthday treat and I was lucky to get the day I wanted. Clarice House at Bury is an impressive building and it was clean and tidy inside. However, it is not well signed off the A134 when coming out of Bury St Edmunds and I almost missed the turning. We arrived at 08.45 and completed our spa forms in the restaurant. The staff were very helpful at all times.My partner, who is male, came with me and although nearly all those attending were female, he did not feel uncomfortable about having the treatments.I was told when I booked it would be busy and it was. Despite the numbers attending the therapists were efficient and took care over the treatments and everything was well organised. The lunch was excellent and we booked back to eat in the restaurant for a Christmas dinner which was also very good. A memorable experience. |

Exceptional Value I booked the Spa day as a birthday present and we both had 3 1/2 hours of treatments which were first class. The staff were very friendly and the food was exceptional and would not have looked out of place in a Michelin star restaurant.
