Spa facilities, staff and treatments were excellent.
The spa packed (2 for 1 deluxe pamper day) is well worth the money and I would definitely recommend.
The food was excellent but unfortunately the staff on that particular day were in some cases rude and the service was terrible. There were ample staff for the number of people in there but it was obvious none of them wanted to be working there! Definitely in need of some restaurant staff training.
I upgraded to gel nails for £15 and was very disappointed with the result - the polish I chose turned out to be quite thin and could have done with 3 coats to achieve a nice finish but they have a '2 coat rule' resulting in a very see through finish which I am disappointed with.
Lovely day at clarice house. Warm, welcoming staff and amazing treatments. Delicious lunch. The only letdown was the changing area and toilets which could do with renovating and more regular cleaning!
Using Spaseekers was simple and a big help. We had a fantastic day at Clarice house, body massage and facials were great. Totally distressed when we left.
Meal was delicious too as was the cream tea :)
I visited Clarice House with a group of friends as a birthday treat. We had a very good deal through spa seekers. We had a day package which included lunch and four treatments. Arrival and registration was friendly and efficient, although we were left waiting for our locker keys and towel for quite a while before being sorted out by the spa reception. We used all the spa facilities in the morning, which were spacious, well kept, and relaxing. The only complaint was there was no shower gel in the showers, I didn't see any drinking water fountains anywhere and there seemed to be no healthy snacks, only cakes and pastries, no fresh fruit or cereal bars etc. lunch was delicious and served on time and in a lovely setting. We were asked several times if everything was ok. The treatments I had were in twin rooms, so you need to know your friends really well! The massage and facial was brilliant, although when we compared experience afterwards, some had been better than others.
Very nice. Friendly staff (apart from a few) excellent treatments, lovely lunch. Could do with changing rooms etc being cleaned more regularly and lots of dead flies around! Gardens not as nice as Colchester but all in all a good day out! Would definitely go back!
